Lakes trail maintenance - 5th April 2008
Photos of tracclub members, TRF members & land rover clubs carrying out maintenance in clearing out drainage ditches, strengthening bridges & clearing watercourses & preventing stone being washed away by setting them in the ground. Work carried out in partnership & under supervision of Lake District National Park ranger.
Lakes trail ride - 3 November 2007
Anton organised another excellent trail ride, which started by the side of Haweswater and over Gate Garth pass. Just in front of us when we set off was a group of 4x4s which provided us with some entertainment as the first one got a couple of feet through the gate and dropped its rear wheel off the side of a bridge and onto its rear axle. The first trail (Gatesgarth) was quite steep in places and was quite a physical first trail of the day. The weather was kind to us, been a good temperature both on road and off. See the pics here.
Dales trail ride - 16 Sept 2007
The day after the TRAC event on Saturday 15th Sept a few of us went on a trail ride led by Anton. We covered quite a good mileage including a water crossing I had some bad memories of. By late afternoon the heavens opened we got pretty wet. Click here to see the pics.
Trail ride August 06 - pictures sent in by Ian O'Brien of a trail ride organised by Anton. The stone/artwork is a new addition on the trail which continues north after Lady Anne's Highway towards Kirby Stephen and is a superb but easy trail used on the TRAC club C2C. Red Lane is one that Brian Thompson marked up on one of his maps & is Pately Bridge way.
