Having just completed my first ever event i am in pain. I ache in places I never have before and my toe is killing me. Would i do it again? YES! I would recommend all riders to do it once. Just completing it is an achievement.

The weather stayed fine, the ground was firm but grippy enough and the course great, if a little rutted. I did it with Tony Hobson another TRAC club member and our numbers were 107 and Tony was 228. My first lap was murder as the red mist came down and the 8mile course seemed longer.

The second lap i settle down and got going a lot smoother but it was still tough. The lap was a variation of tight wooded areas , quarry section open fast sweeps and some nise climbs and a small tight motocross type bit at the end.

In all I did 4 laps averaging 35 minutes per lap, Tony did 6 laps. I can say this was the hardest thing I've done BUT LOVED IT. My 501 berg did me proud as did Tony,s 400exc, and apart for a few offs and a tree that didn't bend when i hit it breaking my headlight we had no major incidents.

A good day was had by all and a BIG THANKS TO GENEATION FMX, results + photos on there site soon.

SEE YOU AT THE NEXT ONE. THANKS STEVE BANNISTER + TONY HOBSON.
